How we connect people in the Hunter

Connecting the Hunter Program

Pay it forward with a meal, a haircut, coffee or food hamper from a local business for someone who is experiencing homelessness, through our Connecting the Hunter Program.

Hunter Homeless Connect Day

Hunter Homeless Connect Day is our annual event that links people to vital services and provides general support to people who are experiencing homelessness, doing it tough and/or are at risk of homelessness.

What people say

We were able to help a family get haircuts for their children so they were not teased at school.
Port Stephens Family & Neighbourhood Services
The Connecting the Hunter Program has been such a valuable resource for the young people we support. We often have young people in crisis in our office who haven't had a decent meal for a couple of days. To be able to provide them with a healthy meal and drink and showing them that people and the community care.
